I must say, when I read the book, I did not imagine Sam being played by Emma Watson. I'm particularly curious how the movie will portray her. Nevertheless, I love Emma Watson and I hope this movie does not disappoint.

Since my semestral break started, I figured I'll catch up on all the books I haven't been able to read during the school year. So far, I've finished two: The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen and That Summer by Sarah Dessen.

One quick rant about That Summer, I was so disappointed with this book. I guess it was my own fault for expecting it to be as good as The Truth About Forever, but it didn't help that the book lacked depth and everything just felt so shallow. I did not feel any emotional attachment to the character. And while I was reading the book, I kept waiting for the climax of the story to happen and before I knew it, I finished the book. I felt like I just wasted my time reading it.

Anyway, I've been trying hard to grab a copy of John Green's Looking for Alaska but it's out of stock in every bookstore I've asked. I'm also trying my best not to buy new books at the moment because of all the books I've accumulated during the semester that I haven't read yet.

But please, I'm open to suggestions. I need to read good books that are worth my time. :)

Oh, and if any of you are looking for a new TV series to follow, I would definitely recommend Pan Am. It's only on it's third episode, so you can still catch up. I'm too lazy to really give a detailed description, so just Google it. But basically it's about pilots and stewardesses in the 1960's and I just love everything about this show. The soundtrack, the story, the clothing, the cast, just everything, really. I hope to God it doesn't get cancelled.

Do I take the most awkward photos of myself, or what? Hahaha!

I just noticed I like getting my bangs cut during school breaks (like semestral break, summer, whatever). It's really because it is SUCH a hassle to commute to school with bangs. You leave the house looking all pretty and ready for school. And then you ride a jeep/tricycle that just ruins everything you worked on. So yeah, I gave up trying to maintain bangs during the school year because it's so high maintenance with my hair being wavy/curly and all.

So we have this project for Experimental Psychology where we are required to take care and observe hamsters. The only problem is, I can't really make anything stay alive for more than a few days. Let me tell you my personal experience. I once made my parents buy me a cactus. Just a small one. I placed it under the sun every morning. I did everything they told me to do. And guess what, three days later it started to rot. A week later, it died. So, you see? I can't even make a freakin' cactus, which is supposed to be super low maintenance, live for more than a few days. :(

I hope you survive. :(

STUPID ALLERGY

Can I just rant about something that's been bothering me for a while now? It's my allergy, you see. I'm allergic to hair dye. Or actually, the PPD chemical that they put in it. I discovered the allergy like four years ago when I got a henna tattoo on my shoulder in Boracay. On the plane right going home, my shoulders started to burn. I figured it was just sunburn that was causing it so I let it go. But a few hours later, I checked it out in the mirror and my henna morphed into this big ass blister. My henna design was a swirly sun so I basically had a sun-shaped blister. Ugh, it was pretty big. Probably the size of my palm. So then I had it checked out by my dermatologist and found out the ones who did my henna mixed it with hair dye, so it's cheaper for them. And that's what caused the reaction.

What's bothering me now is what I will look like when I grow old. I mean, seriously. I won't be able to cover my white hair. Like, I don't want to look like a grandmother by the time I'm 40 or something. :( I know I'm looking too much into the future but what if technology doesn't catch up? :(

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT SUMMER

1. I have all the time in the world to read all of the books I want.
I buy a lot of books over the school year but I never really have the time to read them. There are also a few 'grown-up' books of my father that I want to read as well. I don't mean to sound geeky, but I really miss reading non-academic books. ♥

2. TWO WORDS: DVD marathon
Also one of those things that piled up when I haven't had the time because of the insane amount of school work there is to do.

3. I finally get to work-out.
Summer is really the only time there is to have a work-out routine. I miss playing football and jogging around ADMU or UP.

4. Beach or Swimming Pool.
OH YES.

5. Having brunch dates with friends you haven't seen in a long time.
I kinda lost a big chunk of my social life this school year and I am determined to get it back on track.

WHAT I MISS ABOUT SCHOOL:
1. The P20 mango shakes outside of the school.

I tried making this jewelry thing that's supposed to make a picture look like it's enclosed in a glass dome... and it just isn't working. It's drying up all gooey and stuff. Me and a couple of friends decided to go on a Quiapo adventure. Being the only Quiapo virgin in the group, I was probably the only one to call it an adventure.

I know, they don't look that unique. But here's why I love them, I only got them for like 60 bucks each. A far cry from what Forever21, Accessorize, Yhansy and all those places I usually buy accessories from which would usually cost me 350+ minimum a piece. I bought other accessories like rings which cost me 25-50 bucks each (they don't even look like the cheap kind) and more necklaces.

Quiapo, you are the best thing since microwave popcorn.
